The Letters Project

Hi all - thanks for subscribing....

I began this Letters project a few weeks ago. It stems from the good reception I received from the original Letter to a Young Forecaster I read in Whistler at the International Snow Science Workshop (ISSW) and soon to be published in the upcoming Avalanche Review. It has really gathered some excellent momentum as it has become in part a mentorship and oral history project.

What you'll see each week is a Letter to read, listen to - or both - from a well respected, thoughtful expert in their own (usually many) discipline across the avalanche or alpine world. It's been a remarkably fun and fulfilling project.
